Lot-to-lot consistency : The combination of state-of-the-art grading equipment, visual and electronic measuring systems and stringent product specifications ensures highly reproducible results in the application.
Narrow size distribution : A narrowly graded abrasive yields a better surface finish and higher stock removal rate than broadly graded material. It also reduces abrasive consumption because the finest fraction of the abrasive contributes little to the stock removal. For these reasons, Diprotex has divided each traditional diamond size into two narrowly graded sizes.
Blocky, uniform particle shape : Only blocky, uniformly shaped particles with sharp cutting edges produce perfect surfaces in less time. It takes only one needle-shaped or flat (but large) particle to scratch a perfectly polished surface! Our proprietary shaping process is optimized for a good and consistent shape of the diamond particles. The absence of irregularly shaped particles is also one of the key requirements to producing narrowly graded diamond sizes.
